P.Ramlee

I'm sure the name will ring a bell,
He's a great man we can tell;
People of all races do agree,
What a great man was P. Ramlee.

He showed us how to live in harmony,
As one big happy family;
Life is like a pot that's empty,
Fill it with love and laughter, be happy.

Here indeed is a global man,
Emulate him if you can;
A man that brought us joy and glee,
Known to all as P. Ramlee.

Through his films and songs,
He taught us how to avoid the prongs;
To stay together in unity,
Living a life of serenity.

Good manners, kind speech he espouses,
No rough words, no angry grouses;
'Seek not wealth' is his creed,
Thus keeping at bay envy and greed.

Helping each other is the way to live,
To poor orphans be generous and give;
To the blind who cannot see,
Give your eyes when you cease to be.

True love should not be torn asunder,
That would be akin to murder;
Wealth and status should never be used,
True love must never be abused

Life is full of trials he says,
Try to overcome them it pays;
"Cobaan" he exclaims again and again,
Cocoon yourself and peace will reign.

Do not fear or run away,
Stay calm and you'll surely save the day;
Do not believe what others profess,
Especially so when under duress.

Right education is important indeed,
'Alif ba ta' he learned to read;
Learn here, learn there, learn from all,
Even from a child that's three feet tall.

His life was simple, no frills and thrills,
Just climbing up and down the hills;
And yet in his own small way,
He got us all to live the day.

Here indeed is a global man,
Emulate him if you can;
A man that brought us joy and glee,
Known to all as P. Ramlee.
